ON OUR CONCERN ABOUT SILENCE OF THE HOME OFFICE
August 30, 2018
We are increasingly concerned by the silence of the Home Office despite the number of patients publicly and privately reporting that the application process via the emergency panel doesn't work as well as it should.
Some of you tried to enter the application process and found no support from your GPs or are turned away by clinicians refusing to sign the paperwork. A few others were more successful but it is still taking them much longer than anyone expected.
The Home Office seems completely unphased by that.
Our questions, addressed to James McLellan, Head of Drugs Legislation at the Home Office, whether the emergency panel is still sitting, when its next meeting is due, and what conditions would qualify when cannabis is rescheduled this autumn have not been answered.
If you have more feedback on the application process, please, do not hesitate to get in touch. We will keep your feedback anonymous, unless you are happy for us to make it public.
We look forward to hearing from you.
